Many people who knew Tara Leigh Calico have described the 19-year-old as an effervescent young woman who was strongly independent and organized. Tara was born on February 28th, 1969, her mother Patty, eventually divorced Tara’s birth father and she remarried, to a man named John Doel. John would soon become an outstanding father to Tara, and with the formation of this new family, John brought two children of his own; a daughter named Michelle Doel and a son called Chris Doel.
